I’m a Club Car golf cart owner. As a golf professional, I’ve worked at more than one golf course that has had a fleet of Club Car carts. They are my favorite. However, aside from the excellent quality and functionality of these electric carts, I also love that they are made in America. The Club Car company is a leader in the golf industry, and they do more than manufacture carts. We have the Korn Ferry Club Car Championship coming to our club in just a few weeks. I have the full scoop for you if you want to know more about where club car golf carts are made.

Where Are Club Car Golf Carts Made?

Club Car golf carts are made in Evans, GA, just outside Augusta. Club Car also makes some carts in China, but those are for the Asia/Pacific market. Dealing with the company’s customer service is quite easy, and they have strong warranties on all their new golf carts.

Club Car carts are known to last for many years (like 20+ years). In addition, they keep their models the same for many years. You won’t have difficulty finding replacement parts and Club Car accessories if necessary.

How Much Do Club Car Golf Carts Cost?

We bought our Club Car cart used. It was about 8 years old at the time and needed new batteries. We paid $6500 and then put new batteries in for around $1000. At the time, this was a pretty good deal. However, this was also when golf cart pricing was kind of out of hand. Today, I think we could have done a little better on it.

Club Car states that new golf carts range in price from around $7000 to more than $25,000. The expensive carts are 4 or 6 seats and all the bells and whistles. We’ve found that the starting price is usually slightly higher than $7,000. However, in the golf cart industry, there is usually some fluctuation in pricing.

Here’s a brief look at some of the Club Car golf cart models and what they may cost.

Evolution of Club Car Golf Carts: From the First Model to Today’s Advanced Electric Vehicles

Club Car was founded in 1958, and the first models were focused specifically on golf courses. Even though the world of golf carts has changed, that is still the bulk of the Club Car business. Today, this American company is very involved in street-legal vehicles, which are becoming a more popular and sustainable option for customers.

In the beginning, Club Car was known for its gas model. As time passed, it moved on to electric golf cart models. Gas-powered vehicles don’t have the same commitment to environmental sustainability and efficiency as electric low-speed vehicles. This has become important both in residential and commercial use.

Today, with features like the Excel Drive system and customizable products to help reach top speed and comfort, Club Car still leads the way when it comes to innovation and technology.

What Makes Club Car Golf Carts Stand Out?

Club Car golf Carts compete with brands like Yamaha Carts, Star EVs, EZgo Golf Carts, and others. However, here are a few features and examples of the advanced technology you can find in Club Car’s well-built golf carts.

  • Advanced technology –  Excel Drive System, steering wheel advancements, innovative charging systems, and even advanced tracking and analytics- put Club Car near the top of the list of these personal transportation vehicles.
  • Highly Durable – quality materials like an aluminum frame ensure less rusting and also make Club Car golf cars a good option for seaside golf communities.
  • Customization – the amount of customization you can do to these types of golf carts is almost endless. From rear seats to LED lighting and music, you can make this cart whatever you want it to be
  • Safety and Comfort – electric golf carts are a lot less safe than people realize; Club Car takes precautions to ensure that its product line takes safety seriously and gives users the best overall experience.

Would I Recommend Club Car?

I’ve been driving Club Car golf carts for about 20 years and owned one for the last four. If you are in the market for a new golf cart, you should start with the Club Car.

I find them to be some of the best golf carts in the industry. They stand out from others when it comes to quality and longevity. The long history also makes Club Car a strong choice if you should have any warranty-type issues come up.

It’s not hard to find an authorized dealer in North America that sells Club Car vehicles. I would recommend looking for a used Club Car first. If you know what to look for, you may end up with a great deal and save yourself a good bit of money.
