EZ-Go is widely used by golfers and residents of golf cart communities. Without question, EZ-Go has a long history, having been founded in 1954. Through the years, EZGo has evolved to produce some of the most reliable and sleek-looking electric and gas golf carts on the market. One of the biggest competitors to EZ-Go is Club Car. I previously owned an EZ-Go cart and was very satisfied with the performance, reliability, and appearance. If you’re shopping for a golf cart that is either new or used, consider any of these EZGO golf cart models since 2010.
Club Car Golf Cart Models Description
One of the most notable golf cart models built by EZ-Go is the Freedom. The Freedom has been a great success for golfers across the country. If you’re in the market for a new or used EZ-Go, you should consider all of the available models. However, understand that if you’re playing multiple rounds of golf per week, you are going to want to invest in something that is both comfortable and reliable. Check out the chart below that defines the carts manufactured by EZ-Go since 2010.
Models Since 2010
Liberty LSV and Liberty: These two are recent additions to the EZ Go lineup, offering advanced features and lithium battery options.
Express Series (S2, S4, S6, L6): Introduced in various versions, these models come with different features and capacities. Importantly, they are tailored for personal use.
Freedom RXV: The RXV line is focused on personal use. Some of the features include an automatic parking brake and upgraded suspension.
Freedom TXT: Another model in the TXT line it combines reliability with new innovations for a smoother ride.
Valor and Valor 4: These models are known for their practical features and low cost.
EZGO Express (2012 to Present): Known for its torque, which is why it is ideal for hill climbing, the Express model is designed for enhanced terrain riding.
As you can see above, EZ-Go has remained true to building the Freedom for an extended period of time. Of Course, a new Freedom RXV will differ significantly from a Freedom RXV built in 2010, but the lineup is the same. Today, golf carts offer a sleek new design that catches attention on golf cart paths and on the golf course.
The features are highly dependent on the model year. For instance, a new cart will be equipped with an automatic parking brake whereas my EZ-Go was built with a manual parking brake.
Here is a breakdown of the most popular EZ-Go golf cart model years since 2010.
Freedom RXV
First and foremost, when it comes to powering this EZGO RXV you will have the option of a gas-powered engine or lithium ion battery. Additionally, the Freedom is known for its modular roof, suspended gas and break peddle, and sleek front-end design.
The advanced engineering is combined with a battery or gas efficiency in addition to offering a smooth ride. The Freedom is perfect for pleasure cruisers and golfers alike.
Valor
One of the biggest benefits of purchasing a new or used EZ-Go Valor is the cost. A new Valor offers exceptionally low pricing for both the gas model and the lithium battery pack model.
Keep in mind that the Valor comes with two different seating arrangements. The seating arrangements are the 2 seater or 6 seater. The two-seater is ideal for golfers, while the 6 seaters are best suited for families. If you’re in the market for an affordable option, the Valor is the way to go.
Express
When it comes to seating options, the EZ-Go Express is your best bet. The Freedom is available in with the following seating arrangements- 2, 4, and 6 seats. Additionally, if you’re looking for a lifted cart, the Express L6 is your best bet.
In addition to the multiple seating arrangements, the cart features a premium dashboard with significant storage and a modular canopy top. Lastly, if you’re upgrading to the 4 or 6-seat option, below-seat storage is available.
FAQ’S
Where Is The Serial Number Plate Affixed To Golf Carts After 2010?

How Do I Know What Model EZ-Go I Have?
Unfortunately, EZ-Go does not always identify the model of the cart on the ID plate. However, in some cases, the model will be printed adjacent to the serial number and manufacturer’s code.

The year that the golf cart was manufactured can be identified by reading the identification plate. To determine the year of manufacture, locate the ID plate and read the last two numbers of the manufacturer code.

How Much Is An EZ-Go
When it comes to purchasing a new EZ-Go golf cart, the prices will fluctuate based on the model, power source, and number of seats. When buying new, you will receive customer care from an authorized EZ-Go dealer. I recommend visiting the showroom to get a close look at all of the options. Remember, the retail price might fluctuate based on accessories. Here is a breakdown of the new EZ-Go pricing for new golf carts.
Model | Gas Price (USD) | Electric Price (USD) |
---|---|---|
Liberty LSV | N/A | 20,999 |
Express S2 | N/A | 13,794 |
Express S4 | 12,609 | 15,259 |
Freedom RXV | 10,299 | 12,699 |
Valor | 8,990 | 8,990 |
Importantly, you will have almost nearly endless possibilities when it comes to adding bells and whistles. However, if you’re considering lift kits, make sure that it is allowable as a country club member.
The final actual sales price will include government fees and possibly dealer document preparation charges. Lastly, finance charges may apply if you’re electing to finance versus pay for the cart outright.
How Much Is A Used EZ-Go
If you’re not concerned about the most recent stylish features, one of the best options is to buy used. In my golf cart community, people list carts for sale on a consistent basis. With that said, you’ll be able to find a used EZ-Go with ease wherever you are located.
With older models, the pricing will be based on two important factors. The first factor is the age, and the second is the condition. When shopping for a used golf cart, make sure to test drive the electric vehicle, do a visual inspection, and ask questions. One of the most important questions to ask if it is an electric cart is the age of the battery bank.
Importantly, ask the seller for maintenance records. Review the level of maintenance performed. With the combined data, you will better be able to assess the actual cost. For the most part, you can expect to pay between $4,000 and $7,000 for a used golf cart.
Remember, you can always add extra features after purchasing a used golf cart. One of the best features is a built-in water management system. My father-in-law decked out his cart after buying a used one from a neighborhood resident. However, don’t over-accessories because you won’t see a return on investment.
EZ-Go Golf Cart Models: Pick The Best Option For You
Without question, you will have options when it comes to purchasing an EZ-Go golf cart. Keep in mind that if you’re buying a used golf cart, make sure to review the maintenance records.
The golf cart industry has exploded, so in some cases, you may have a wait period when ordering new models. Again, I was more than satisfied with my EZ-Go. If you’re heading out on the cart with family, I suggest adding seat belts. However, in most cases, golfer do not add this as part of the golf cart accessories package. Remember, EZGO carts are well liked by golfers and property owners in golf cart communities.
