As a former golf professional and country club membership director in South Florida, I was lucky enough to play Boca West several times. When I left the golf business for a bit, I owned a Landscaping Business and worked with many homes inside Boca West Country Club. This is one of the most unique clubs in South Florida for several reasons. I’ll break it down for you: how much Boca West Country Club costs, what it’s like inside the gates, and whether or not this is a club you may want to join. I can tell you right now that this one should be on your list if you are serious about golf.
Boca West Country Club Costs
Before we get into the specifics of the club and what it has to offer, let’s take a brief look at the costs. As of 2023, the cost to join Boca West was $115,000. You have to own a property at Boca West to get in (so you’ll likely pay this $115,000 as part of your fees when moving into the neighborhood.)
After initiation fees, you’ll pay the base membership – Social- around $20,000 per year. From there, fees go up to become racquet sports or golf members.
Membership Type | Family | Individual | Details |
Non-Refundable Fee | $114,900 | $114,900 | Mandatory for all purchasers and members |
Annual Dues | |||
Social Base Membership | $20,394.20 | $20,394.20 | Minimum mandatory for family/individual |
Racquet Sports Membership | $22,443.25 | $21,924.30 | Includes Social Base Membership |
Golf Membership | $25,765.60 | $24,342.50 | Includes Social Base Membership |
Annual Trail Fees | $2,899.70 | $2,327.25 | For private carts approved by the Club |
Annual Cart Fees | $5,975.95 | $4,724.05 | For private cart approved by the Club |
One thing worth noting here is that the Golf Membership and Racquet Sports Membership also include everything that you get with the Social base. As a golfer, it’s only about $5,000 more per year to have a golf membership. It’s a strong value.

My Experience at Boca West
I’ve played Boca West several times. One time I played it in an event and the other times I was the guest of members. It’s a factory, a massive golf factory.
However, that’s part of the appeal.
At Boca West, there is always something going on. One of the members I played with was nice enough to walk me through the entire club and show me everything that Boca West had to offer. I was very impressed with the whole facility and how well it is run for how busy it is.
Golf course conditions were perfect, and the golf course design was also excellent. Every course I played was a good test of golf and, at the same time, fair for the average golfer.
The facilities are extensive and even though there are quite a few members you will have access to things like lunch, the pool and the golf courses. You have to realize that this is a large facility, so it’s not a sleepy club where you can sneak out on the back nine and play a few holes, which might be tricky most days.
However, when you get into the neighborhood, start learning it, and figure it all out, you’ll find your way and use your time accordingly. For retired people who want to ensure they have something to do until 100, Boca West is a great place to live.
