Jon Rahm is no longer a PGA Tour guy. He’s off to the LIV with Phil Mickelson, Brooks Koepka, and Cameron Smith. However, we all know Rahm will still be back around to play in the major championships. If you are wondering what majors has Jon Rahm won and how that compares to some of the other top competitors, we have you covered.

What Majors Has Jon Rahm Won?

Jon Rahm has won the Masters and the US Open. He won the 2021 U.S. Open and was the 2023 Master Champion.

The first major for Rahm was the 2021 U.S. Open at Torrey Pines. Golfers will say that all of their majors matter, but this was a big one. Rahm was the first Spanish golfer to win the U.S. Open Championship. If you were watching golf in 2021, you know that Rahm had a strong year.

Just a few weeks prior to the open, however, he had to withdraw from the Memorial Tournament because of a positive COVID-19 test.

He had a huge lead.

It was unfair and coming back to with the 2021 U.S. Open was truly the only way to fix it.

The 2023 Master win was not the first time a Spanish golfer won the Masters. In fact, this was the fourth time a Spanish golfer has won the masters. José María Olazábal won it for the first time for Spain, followed by Seve Ballesteros and then Sergio Garcia. As Rahm has stated, it’s a pretty nice group to be a part of.

Jon Rahm Career At A Glance

Since clinching the 2021 U.S. Open, Jon Rahm is not just the pride of Spain, he’s one of the best players in the golfing world. He started his golf journey at Arizona State University, where he earned the Ben Hogan Award.

Rahm’s got everything a modern PGA Professional needs: power, precision, and the desire to win and make money. He plays well in Ryder Cup events and racks up top-10 finishes in the most competitive tournaments

One thing many golfers don’t notice about Rahm is his unconventional swing. It’s not the prettiest thing, but it certainly works. He was born with some trouble in his feet, and has to take an abbreviated backswing with a little bit of a shut face to get the power he does. Look at his position at the top of the swing, and you’ll see what we mean.

Being the reigning Masters Champion is a great honor, and we know Rahm would love to throw a 2024 Masters into the loop. Here are his other professional wins:

PGA TOUR Wins:

  • 2017 Farmers Insurance Open
  • 2018 CareerBuilder Challenge
  • 2019 Zurich Classic of New Orleans
  • 2020 The Memorial Tournament presented by Nationwide, BMW Championship
  • 2021 U.S. Open
  • 2022 Mexico Open at Vidanta

  • 2018 Open de España
  • 2019 Dubai Duty Free Irish Open, Mutuactivos Open de España, DP World Tour Championship
  • 2022 Acciona Open de España, DP World Tour Championship

Jon Rahm vs. The Competition

Now that you know how many majors Rahm has won, let’s look at how the competition is lining up with some of the top players in the game. Rahm still has some catching up to do when you look at golfers like Rory McIlroy and Brooks Koepka. However, he’s doing better than Rickie Fowler and Tony Finau.

Here’s a table that shows how Jon Rahm compares to the competition.

Will Jon Rahm Play In The 2024 Majors?

Now that Rahm has switched to the LIV tour, the question many golfers have on their minds is whether or not he will be able to play in the 2024 major tournaments. As of right now, Rahm won’t be able to defend his Sentry Tournament of Champions, and he was removed from all FedEx Cup rankings

However, he can play in the 2024 Majors. He has exemption at the Masters and US. Open for quite some time, and the PGA Championship is not a PGA Tour event but a PGA of America Event. The Open Championship allows all golfers to play.

Who Can Win The Career Grand Slam in 2024?

Seeing who can win the career grand slam each year is always interesting. Although Jon Rahm has a chance at it, he would have to win the PGA Championship and The Open. It’s possible, but he might not be the best player to bet on. The guys who have a chance to do it again in 2024 are Rory McIlroy and Jordan Spieth.

Rory has four majors, but he is missing the Masters. Jordan has three majors and is missing the PGA Championship.

Brooks Koepka is another golfer to keep an eye on. He’s on the hunt for his first green jacket and his first Open Championship; if he wins those this year, he’ll end up with the career grand slam.

Which Golfers Have The Most Majors?

Two major championships, including a Masters tournament, are nothing to take lightly. However, Rahm has a long way to go if he wants to reach some of the most famous players ever. Jack Nicklaus still leads the way with 18 total majors, and Tiger Woods is not far behind with a total of 15.

Here are the golfers who have had the most major wins:

  • Jack Nicklaus (18)
  • Tiger Woods (15)
  • Water Hagen (11)
  • Ben Hogan (9)
  • Gary Player (9)

Final Thoughts

It seems like every year, the major championships get more competitive. With the 2021 U.S. Open and the 2023 Masters under his belt, Rahm has an excellent opportunity to add a few more to his list this year. Undoubtedly, he has earned his place as one of the Spanish stars in golf, even as a new member of the LIV golf league. LIV players will certainly notice the difference when it comes to competition in the field.
