Unfortunately, used carts, unless they are still under the factory warranty, will not be covered. In some cases, a dealership will offer one month of coverage.
With that said, it is nice to have a warranty to fall back on when you have your own golf cart. It takes hard work to purchase electric or gas carts, so having some protection is beneficial.
